A line-up of classic cars on Victorian club permits
Vicroads-recognised club

Your classic deserves club plates.

Victorian club permits endorsed online, on the spot — no enthusiast club to join, no monthly meetings, no waiting on the post.

$99 a year. The VicRoads permit fee and your roadworthy are paid separately — we add nothing to either.

How it works

Four steps.

  1. 01

    Get a roadworthy certificate

Issued by an accredited tester — not by us.

    Find an accredited tester
  2. 02

Sign up and submit your documents — online, about ten minutes

Start anytime — if your roadworthy isn't done, your application just waits for it. You don't pay until everything's in.

    Pay only when you're ready
  3. 03

    Take it all to VicRoads

Bring your roadworthy and our endorsement to a VicRoads centre. You pay their permit fee, and they issue your club plates and logbook across the counter. The car doesn’t need to be there.

  4. 04

    Drive it

A club permit is limited use: 45 or 90 days a year. Note each trip in the logbook.

Why us, not a traditional club

Club plate, no fuss.

Club Plate Co is a VicRoads-accredited club operating under the Victorian Club Permit Scheme. We’re not a hobby club with a sign-up form bolted on — endorsing club permits is the whole reason we exist, which is why we’ve made it quick, clear, and entirely online.

Accredited by VicRoads

An accredited club under the Victorian Club Permit Scheme.

No meetings, no waiting

No clubrooms, no committee, no roster, no waitlist.

Any make, any era

Any make, any model — if it's over 25 years old, it's in.

What we charge

$99

a year.

Club Plate Co membership is $99 a year. That covers endorsement of your club permit application and every renewal after it — no joining fee, nothing extra at renewal time.

Two costs go to others, not us — the VicRoads permit fee and a one-off roadworthy. We don’t add to either.

Eligibility

Common questions.

More than 25 years, measured by build date — that’s the one hard gate in the scheme. The build date is on the compliance plate under the bonnet; if there’s any doubt, VicRoads will accept the date of first registration.

Eligibility in detail: build dates, modified cars, interstate vehicles
Ready when you are

Start whenever it suits. Pay only when everything’s in.

Your classic deserves to be driven. Begin your application now and it waits for your roadworthy — we don’t charge you until it’s all in hand. Not sure you’re eligible? It’s just the build date: 25 years or older and you’re in.
