Contact Club Plate Co: club permit help, Victoria

Two people answer this inbox: Sam and Riley. There is no call centre, no ticket queue and no committee night to wait for. If you are not sure whether your vehicle qualifies for a Victorian club permit, send photographs of the car and of its build or compliance plate, and we will tell you before you pay us anything.

Email

How to reach us

Email is the fastest way in, and it reaches a person rather than a queue. Use the general address if you are not sure who should see it, or write to Sam or Riley directly.

Tell us the year, make and model, whether the vehicle is currently registered or on a permit with another club, and whether you want 45 or 90 days. With that we can usually answer the eligibility question in one reply.

Check whether your vehicle qualifies before you write, if you would rather answer it yourself.

VicRoads

When you need VicRoads rather than us

We handle membership, the eligibility check and the club endorsement. VicRoads handles everything else: issuing and renewing the permit, setting every fee, issuing plates and logbooks, and answering questions about your specific permit record.

A new application has to be lodged in person at a VicRoads Customer Service Centre, and so does a club transfer or a change to a vehicle description. Renewals can be done through your myVicRoads account. If you need the nearest office, start with the VicRoads Customer Service Centre finder.

Questions

Before you write

How quickly do you reply?

We reply the same business day. Emails reach Sam and Riley directly rather than a shared queue, so an eligibility question does not sit behind a ticket. Applications and renewals are endorsed in the order they arrive, within one business day. How endorsement works.

Can I call you?

Yes — 0400 411 015. Most club permit questions are easier answered with photographs attached, so email is genuinely the faster route for anything about whether a particular vehicle qualifies. Meet Sam and Riley.

Which VicRoads office do I go to?

Any VicRoads Customer Service Centre can issue a club permit. Use the VicRoads centre finder for opening hours and whether an appointment is needed, and take original signed forms rather than copies, because VicRoads will not accept scans at the counter. Regional Victoria.

Do you have a shopfront I can visit?

No. Club Plate Co is an online club: the eligibility check is done from documents and photographs you upload, which is why a member in Mildura gets the same service on the same day as one in Melbourne. The roadworthy still happens at a licensed tester near you. Why we built an online club.

Ready when you are

Start whenever it suits. Pay only when everything’s in.

Your classic deserves to be driven. Begin your application now and it waits for your roadworthy — we don’t charge you until it’s all in hand. Not sure you’re eligible? It’s just the build date: 25 years or older and you’re in.
